We have a complex Anti-Spam and Content
Filter system on Medway Hosting's email servers. This system is
controlled directly by us and can be adjusted to suit particular
customers needs. Occasionally it can be that the system to test
incoming emails is set too strictly, or does not catch certain
Spam.
If you are receiving spam that you
do not wish to receive, please send the offending message to us
by using the "Forward as Attachment" option. This will
enable us to have a look at the intact message and decide the
best way to block it.
The way our system works sometimes
means that certain emails may be blocked that you do not wish
to have blocked. If this is only on one specific email or only
happens occasionally, then please refer to the "How to Bypass
the Anti-Spam System" section below. If it is a regular occurance,
please contact us and we will adjust our systems to suit.
How To Bypass the Anti-Spam
System
If you wish to send or receive an email that that is being
rejected by the Anti-Spam System, you may put a particular keyword
into the SUBJECT line of your email and it will bypass the system.
This keyword is changed when neccessary is case any spammers include
it in their email.
At present the keyword is ANTISPAMBYPASS131
Most spammers will not bother to
read this page or include our keyword in all their messages, however
should you receive a spam mail containing this word, please let
us know and it will be changed immediately.
